How to Make

  • Step 1: In a medium saucepan cook green beans in boiling water for 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp-tender (less if using frozen). Drain off water and set aside.

  • Step 2: In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 4 teaspoons drippings. Return bacon and the reserved drippings to skillet.

  • Step 3: Add brown sugar, parsley, vinegar, and shallot. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 2 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add green beans and heat through. Enjoy!
