How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 13- x 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle the cornmeal in the pan. Shake the pan to coat the bottom and sides.

  • Step 2: Cook the sausage with onion and garlic powder in a large skillet over medium heat until sausage is browned, about 4-5 minutes. Drain the fat from the skillet. Mix in the mushrooms, bell pepper and pepperoni to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 4 minutes longer.

  • Step 3: Combine the pizza sauce and Italian seasoning in a small bowl.Stir into the skillet.

  • Step 4: Unroll one can of pizza dough and place into the bottom and 1 inch up sides of the prepared pan. Spoon the sausage filling evenly over the dough to within 1/2 inch of the edges. Sprinkle with the shredded cheese.

  • Step 5: Unroll the remaining can of dough onto a flat surface. Place over the cheese in the pan. Pinch the edges tightly to seal. Cut 3 slits in the top crust to vent steam. Lightly brush top of crust with olive oil then lightly sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  • Step 6: Bake until lightly golden (20–25 minutes). Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
