Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 large red onions, cut in half and thin sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Pinch salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Onions ... Add the butter and onions to a small pot and cook 10-12 minutes on medium low heat. Stirring often so they do not brown.

  • Step 2: Finish ... Add the sugar and balsamic, stir well, and cook 25-30 minutes on low until the onions are tender, and the sauce has thickened like syrup.

  • Step 3: Serve ... Cool and refrigerate until ready to use. This is especially good over steak, but it is also very good over grilled pork as well; and, it is a fantastic condiment on sandwiches. ENJOY! This keeps very well for a week or more in the refrigerator.
