Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound mussels (one 1-pound package frozen "High Liner" prepared Mussels or other similar prepared products)
  • 1/2 cup wine, dry (white wine)
  • 4 garlic cloves, large (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Bread slices (six 1 inch slices of baguette)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Measure out the wine, add chopped jalapeno and chopped garlic

  • Step 2: Pour into a large pot that will hold the mussels

  • Step 3: Add frozen mussels over High heat, cover, shake the pan a couple of times during the 5 minute cooking.

  • Step 4: In 5 minutes they are ready, serve in deep bowl along with the liquid broth and baguette slices
