  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (toasted)
  • 1/4 cup raisins (dark)
  • 3 tablespoons raisins (golden)

We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Walnuts ... I prefer to toast the walnuts, but it isn't necessary. I add them to a dry saute pan for just a couple of minutes until you can smell them. Make sure to stir them often. Remove and set to the side to cool. Once cooled, chop.

  • Step 2: Salad ... This is about as easy as you can get. Add all the celery, fruit, raisins, nuts, mayo, sour cream or yogurt (I prefer yogurt), lemon juice to a serving bowl and toss to combine. Yes, season with a pinch of salt ... and yes, I do like a bit of pepper - just a pinch. Also, you can add a pinch of sugar as well, but it isn't necessary = just an option. Cover, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

  • Step 3: Serve and ENJOY!
