Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 tablespoons margarine (stick margarine or butter)
  • 1 can (15 ounce) fruit, drained (or as close to the size as you can get )
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add margarine to a 2 quart rectangle baking dish which has been sprayed with cooking spray.

  • Step 2: Place in oven which has been set to 350 degrees.

  • Step 3: While margarine is melting, mix together well the sugar,flour,and milk in a medium sized bowl and set aside.

  • Step 4: After margarine has melted, place fruit( if you have large pieces of fruit cut into bite size pieces) in pan and spread evenly into pan.

  • Step 5: Pour batter mixture evenly over fruit,DO NOT STIR.

  • Step 6: Bake at 350 for 45 minutes,test with toothpick after 35 minutes, if toothpick comes out clean, it's done.If not add a few more minutes.
