  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cup dill pickle slices, thin
  • 1/8 teaspoon. cayenne pepper
  • Oil for frying

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the flour, salt, cayenne and pepper in a bowl.

  • Step 2: Lightly whip the egg in a separate bowl.

  • Step 3: Add the milk to the egg.

  • Step 4: Heat the oil (about 2 inches) to 325.

  • Step 5: Dip the pickle slices first into the flour, then the egg mixture, and finally back into the flour.

  • Step 6: Carefully place the pickles into the hot oil. Do not overcrowd.

  • Step 7: Fry until golden brown (about 8 minutes), turning once.

  • Step 8: Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
