  • Flour tortillas (2 tortillas)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (or shredded turkey or chicken)
  • 2 teaspoons green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot chili powder (more if you wish)
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (Monterey Jack or sharp cheddar cheese, grated)
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh tomato
  • 1/2 to 1 cup avocado fruit, chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons salsa (heat of your choice)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a frypan over high heat; add tortillas, one at a time, fry for 30 seconds on each side; drain well on paper towels, fold in half and place in a warm oven until needed.

  • Step 2: In the remaining oil, brown beef or chicken with the onion and chili powder; drain excess oil.

  • Step 3: Stuff tortillas with beef or chicken and top with the remaining ingredients.
