Step 1: Place chicken in a 3 1/2- or 4-quart crockpot.
Step 2: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the dry Italian salad dressing mix. Stir in mushroom soup, garlic, pepper, white wine, and cream cheese and pepper until combined. Pour over the chicken. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours.
Step 3: Serve chicken and sauce over hot cooked pasta.
