Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds potatoes unpeeled (red or white)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 pear cored and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (or spicy mustard)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups mixed salad greens
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil potatoes in lightly salted water 10 - 15 minutes or until done. Drain and set aside.

  • Step 2: Drizzle the lemon juice on the sliced pear.

  • Step 3: Whisk the mustard, wine vinegar, sesame oil ,salt and pepper until well blended.

  • Step 4: Cut warm potatoes in chunks, use half the dressing and mix with the warm potatoes

  • Step 5: Place mixed greens on large platter, drizzle with the rest of the dressing or use your favourite dressing bottle and serve along side the salad allowing guests to add extra if they wish.

  • Step 6: Arrange pear slices along the side, sprinkle with pecans and toasted sesame seeds.
