The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon oil (peanut oil)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoon minced garlic (adjust to taste)
  • 1 small cabbage head (shredded)
  • 1/3 cup chopped bell peppers (I used red, yellow and orange)
  • 1 yellow onion (small onion, thinly sliced, adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped ginger (candied ginger, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • Garnish
  • Toasted sesame seeds

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat peanut oil and sesame oil in wok or frying pan, coating bottom.

  • Step 2: Add garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes and stir to coat.

  • Step 3: Add cabbage and onions and cook for 4 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.

  • Step 4: Add sweet peppers, cover and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.

  • Step 5: Stir in the hoisin sauce and optional candied ginger and cook for another 4+ minutes to desired doneness.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle top with sesame seeds before serving
