Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pound sirlion steak, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1 small crown broccoil, chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1/2 orange bell pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 2 (4 ounce) cans mushrooms, drained, liquid reserved
  • Sauce:
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Liquid reserved from 1 can mushrooms
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine first 5 ingredients in a zip-top plastic bag; add steak strips and coat well.

  • Step 2: Marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours, turning periodically.

  • Step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add broccoli to skillet; cover and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add remaining vegetables to skillet; cover and cook, stirring occasionally, 5-10 minutes, until vegetables are crisp-tender.

  • Step 6: Remove vegetable mixture to a large bowl and keep warm.

  • Step 7: Add remaining tablespoon of oil to skillet; add beef (with marinade) and cook, stirring frequently, until done, about 10 minutes.

  • Step 8: Combine sauce ingredients and add to pan; increase heat to high and bring to a boil.

  • Step 9: Reduce heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.

  • Step 10: Return vegetable mixture to pan; stir to thoroughly combine, and cook, stirring occasionally, 5-10 minutes, until completely heated through.
