Step 1: Heat oil in small skillet over medium heat.
Step 2: Add onion, jalapeno, garlic, chili powder, cumin, and salt; sauté until onions are soft, about 3 minutes.
Step 3: Add beans and heat through, about 3 minutes.
Step 4: Transfer mixture to a food processor; puree with reserved bean liquid until smooth.
Step 5: Serve, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
