Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 to 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (we used Kittencal's homemade honey BBQ dipping sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot or cornstarch, mixed with 1/4 C water
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the onions on the bottom of the crock pot, then place the chicken on top.

  • Step 2: Season the chicken with the salt and pepper.

  • Step 3: Pour over the whiskey, then the barbecue sauce, and cook on high for 2-3 hours, or low about 5-6.

  • Step 4: Just before done, add the starch/water mixture to the sauce in the crock pot, stirring to combine. This will thicken the barbecue sauce up.

  • Step 5: Serve with rice and drizzle extra sauce over individual portions of chicken (cut into pieces).
