Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups fresh basil, stems removed and lightly packed
  • 1 whole garlic clove, peeled and rough chopped
  • Squeeze fresh lemon (optional, but recommended)
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add the garlic and basil to a small food processor and pulse until lightly chopped. Add the olive oil - slowly - and continue to process until very smooth; finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice - just a light squeeze. Also, I prefer fresh lemon, but if that plastic lemon is all you have; that will work for this small of amount. You could also leave it out if you don't have either. The fresh just has such a bright fresh taste.

  • Step 2: NOTE: You can change this recipe up by; simmering the garlic first in the oil, to make an infused oil; or, you can use roasted garlic. But, I prefer the fresh garlic in this particular recipe.

  • Step 3: Serve ... Drizzle or brush on your favorite grilled vegetables before serving. ENJOY!
