Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (16 ounce) spaghetti
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (I also added in 2 garlic cloves)
  • 1 jar (26 ounce) meatless spaghetti sauce (I used a little over 5 cups of my own homemade sauce)
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (I added black pepper to)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups low-fat cottage cheese (I increased to 4 there is no way 2 cups will cover 2 layers!)
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt; set aside.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter. Drain spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat.

  • Step 3: Place half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish. Top with half of the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. Uncover; bake 20-25 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
