Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
  • 2 (14 ounce) can Hunt's Fire Roasted tomatoes, well drained (or you can fire-roast 6 large tomatoes then peel and chop)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, remove seeds
  • 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or olive oil_
  • Salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the cilantro, onions and garlic in a food processor; cover and process until blended. Add the chipotle pepper, drained fire roasted tomatoes and jalapeno; cover and pulse until blended. Transfer to a large bowl; stir in green chilies, lime juice and oil. Season with salt.

  • Step 2: Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before you serve it.
