  • 4 tablespoons butter (melted and divided)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled goat cheese (fresh white goat cheese, crumbled into bits)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (fresh from white bread)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coat asparagus spears with 2 tablespoons melted butter, then season with salt and pepper lightly.

  • Step 2: Arrange in an oven-to-table shallow baking dish large enough to hold the asparagus in 1 layer. Evenly distribute cheese bits over asparagus, then sprinkle with bread crumbs. Drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter over bread crumbs.

  • Step 3: Bake at 400°F until asparagus is tender-crisp and the bread crumbs lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
