Step 1: Preheat oven to 300°F.
Step 2: Cook and drain macaroni to only halfway; drain rinse under cold water and set aside.
Step 3: In a skillet cook beef with onion, bell pepper and garlic. Add macaroni and enough tomato sauce to coat macaroni well.
Step 4: Pour into greased casserole dish and sprinkle evenly with shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese. You can also use any shredded cheese mixture, such as Mexican or 3-cheese mix.
Step 5: Sprinkle with oregano and basil (or use 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning) and bake for 45 minutes.
