Step 1: In small saucepan, cook brown sugar, butter and Karo syrup 4-5 minutes till thickened.
Step 2: Place apples in a buttered 9 x 13 inch baking dish, place apples, nicely spread over bottom. Pour sugar mixture over top, then sprinkle with cinnamon.
Step 3: Mix eggs with milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
Step 4: Slice bread in thick slices. Dip each slice in egg mixture and leave for 5-10 seconds. Place on top of apples with just enough slices to cover apples in baking dish. Pour remaining egg mixture over top of bread. Refrigerate overnight.
Step 5: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Remove, cut into serving portions and serve with your favorite syrup.
