Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 6 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon butter
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1 loaf French bread, sliced fairly thick you should get about 15-16 slices
  • 1(8 ounce) carton spreadable garlic and herb cream cheese, you will use how much you want
  • 2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 1 cup mayonnaise, not salad dressing
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large skillet, saute mushrooms in butter until tender. Add green onions; cook and stir until liquid from mushrooms has evaporated. Set aside.

  • Step 2: Spread slices of bread on one side with cream cheese using as much as you like you might not use the whole container. Combine the Italian cheese, mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese; spread over bread. Top with mushroom mixture.

  • Step 3: Place slices on a baking sheet mushroom topping side up. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Serve warm.
