Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs (separated)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup butter (melted)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl

  • Step 2: Combine and mix milk, egg yolks and vanilla in a medium bowl

  • Step 3: Beat egg whites until stiff in a large bowl

  • Step 4: Add milk mixture to dry ingredients. Beat on high with mixer till ingredients are moistened

  • Step 5: Stir in cooled melted butter. Fold in egg whites leaving little fluffs showing in batter

  • Step 6: Pour batter into center of heated griddle till it spreads out to 1" of ends and cook till brown and done. My griddle takes about 5 or 6 minutes. All griddles vary so keep an eye on them. Makes 8 waffles

  • Step 7: Top with a sprinkle of icing sugar and a pat of butter and some maple syrup with a little side dish of fruits...Enjoy !!
