Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk or half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 6 thick slices egg bread or brioche
  • Butter, as needed
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a large baking sheet.

  • Step 2: In a bowl whisk eggs with next 5 ingredients until well combined.

  • Step 3: Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Working in batches (don't let the bread sit in the egg mixture for more than 10 seconds or it will fall apart!) dip bread slices in the egg mixture one at a time and cook in the skillet until golden, 2 to 3 minutes per side, adding more butter as needed.

  • Step 4: Transfer to a baking sheet and bake until puffed, 8 to 10 minutes.

  • Step 5: Serve with syrup.
