  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1 lime (juice of)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeño jelly

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cut off the root ends of the brussel sprouts and remove loose outer leaves.

  • Step 2: Slice the sprouts lengthwise.

  • Step 3: In a shallow 2 quart microwaveable casserole or baking dish, combine the sprouts, water, oil, lime juice and salt.

  • Step 4: Cover tightly and microwave on high for 3 minutes, then stir.

  • Step 5: Re-cover and microwave on high for 2 to 5 minutes, or until sprouts are tender-crisp.

  • Step 6: Stir in the jalapeño jelly and serve.
