Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar, ( when it says sugar i use splenda)
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted (1/2 stick, I use Becel)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed (I use splenda brown mix)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup reduced fat buttermilk ( i will use regular buttermilk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350f degrees. Combine flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Combine sugar, cocoa, margaine, brown sugar and coffee granules in a large bowl. Add buttermilk and vanilla, mix well. Stor om f;pir ,oxtire kist imto; cp,bomed/ Cover and refrigerate 1 hour (dough will be stiff)

  • Step 2: Lightly spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.

  • Step 3: Bake 10 to 11 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
