  • 2 to 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Tony Chachere's seasoning, plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a nonstick skillet, saute bacon over medium heat until just browned.

  • Step 2: Using a paper towel, wipe up all the extra grease.

  • Step 3: Add onions to the pan and saute until soft and golden brown.

  • Step 4: Add the beans and enough broth to cover the beans.

  • Step 5: Season with a tablespoon of Tony Chachere’s.

  • Step 6: Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 7: Uncover and let simmer until almost all the liquid has cooked off (about 15 minutes.)

  • Step 8: Add butter to the pan and taste for seasonings. If it seems salty enough, do not add more Tony’s. If it is not salty enough, add more Tony’s.

  • Step 9: Serve hot!
