Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
  • 1 cup dry orzo pasta
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounce) chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Stir in orzo and saute until lightly browned.

  • Step 3: Stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil.

  • Step 4: Cover and reduce heat and simmer until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 15 - 20 minutes.

  • Step 5: Stir in parmesan and basil and season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 6: Serve with the remaining chopped basil.
