  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (70 grams)
  • 1 packet (9 gram) sugar (Dr Oetker Vanilla Sugar, 0.32 ounces)
  • 1 1/4 cups butter (cold, 250 grams)
  • 1 cup icing sugar (150 grams)
  • 1 packet (9 gram) sugar (Dr Oetker Vanilla Sugar, 0.32 ounces)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 Fahrenheit and grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

  • Step 2: Combine icing sugar with 2nd packet of icing sugar and set aside.

  • Step 3: Blend first four ingredients together in a large bowl.

  • Step 4: Cut butter into small pieces over flour/almond mixture.

  • Step 5: Using clean hands, quickly work all ingredients together until you have a smooth dough.

  • Step 6: Shape dough into pencil-sized ribbons and cut into 2-inch pieces.

  • Step 7: Place on prepared baking sheet and bend into crescent shapes.

  • Step 9: Roll warm cookies in reserved icing sugar/vanilla sugar mixture.
