Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped zucchini--set aside
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped onion
  • 1 pound seet Italian sausage---turkey or regular
  • 2 garlic cloves--minced
  • 1 (26-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked pasta nuggets (rigiatore)--or whatever you want
  • 2 tablespoons fresh snipped basil or 1 teaspoon of dry basil (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Coarsely chop zucchini and set aside.

  • Step 2: Coarsely chop onion and put into a pot with sausage which has been crumbled as best you can; heat pan to medium and cook till sausage is done as you continue to break it up; add the garlic while it is cooking; drain.

  • Step 3: Add spaghetti sauce, brother, and water; bring to a boil; stir in pasta and reduce heat and cook for about 7-8 minutes.

  • Step 4: Stir in zucchini and cook for 2-4 more minutes or till zucchini is done; stir in basil.
