  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces American cheese, cubed

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In pan, heat butter and onions and season lightly; cook until translucent.

  • Step 3: Add flour and brown lightly.

  • Step 4: Add rest of ingredients and season to taste.

  • Step 5: Pour into pam sprayed casserole dish.

  • Step 6: Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat butter and flour, lightly season.

  • Step 7: Add milk and cook until thickened.

  • Step 8: Pour onto top of green beans.

  • Step 9: Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly and lightly browned.
