Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 2: Sift dry ingredients and set aside.
Step 3: Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly.
Step 4: Add well beaten eggs, pumpkin and flavorings and the dry ingredients (save some of the dry ingredients for dredging the raisins and nuts).
Step 5: Add raisins and nuts which have been dredged in some of measured flour.
Step 6: Mix well.
Step 7: Drop by teaspoon onto well greased baking sheet.
Step 8: Sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
Step 9: Bake for about 15 minutes.
