Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 cups white rice, uncooked
  • 7 cups water
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 to 1 cup Splenda granular or Sugar (can use half of each too, or try some honey)
  • 1 (12 ounce) can fat free evaporated milk
  • Ice, to serve

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a blender, blend rice and water in batches until the rice is chopped up, and the water is white. Pour rice and water into a 2 quart container and let sit 4 hours to overnight. Shake or stir it every so often if you're able to.

  • Step 2: Strain the rice/water mix through a fine sieve, cheesecloth or clean pantyhose. Pour strained water into a 2 quart pitcher. Discard rice or cook for another use.

  • Step 3: Stir in remaining ingredients. *I've thought of heating some water, honey and cinnamon together before stirring it in but haven't tried it yet.

  • Step 4: Serve over ice. It's best chilled before serving for the cinnamon to blend in and infuse it. Stir or shake before each serving. Enjoy!
