Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, very soft
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove, very finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, well drained
  • 1 large plum tomato, seeded and finely chopped (do not use a soft tomato)
  • Fresh ground black pepper, optional and to taste
  • 2 flour tortillas, or as needed

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a bowl combine the cream cheese with next 5 ingredients until smooth. Mix in the remaining 4 ingredients. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

  • Step 2: Spread the cheese mixture thinly over tortillas. Roll up firmly. Cover in plastic wrap then refrigerate tortilla rolls for at least 2 hours.

  • Step 3: Slice the pinwheels. Place on a baking sheet. Broil until lightly golden.
