How to Make

  • Step 1: Sift together sifted flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar and set aside.

  • Step 2: Whites: with mixer set at high speed, beat egg whites until stiff but not dry and set aside.

  • Step 3: Wet: beat egg yolks at high speed 1 minute.

  • Step 4: Add milk, butter ( or salad oil), and sifted dry ingredients.

  • Step 5: Beat at low speed just until smooth.

  • Step 6: Gradually fold in beaten egg whites.
