Step 1: Preheat oven to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C or Gas 4).
Step 2: Peel potatoes and then cut them into quarters lengthwise and then place them in a roasting pan (9 x 12 inches or so). Add the garlic to the pan and then pour in the olive oil, wine and 1/2 cup water. Halve the lemon and squeeze in the juice and then add the other lemon half into the pan. Sprinkle some dried oregano over all along with the salt and pepper.
Step 3: Place pan in oven for one hour; halfway through you may want to turn the potatoes so all sides will be browned.
