  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled, diced
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 4 stalks celery, sliced
  • 15 ounces corn, undrained (1 can)
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce (1 can)
  • 15 ounces tomatoes, crushed (1 can)
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni, dry (2 cups)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bring water to rolling boil.

  • Step 2: Lightly season beef.

  • Step 3: Pinch off small balls, when floating and brown, add carrot, onions, celery, corn, tomatoes and tomato sauce, rinse out cans lightly.

  • Step 4: After 20 minutes, add potatoes and macaroni.

  • Step 5: Cook until potatoes are soft and macaroni not mushy, about 20 minutes.

  • Step 6: Season to taste.
