Step 1: Boil carrots in water just to cover with salt & sugar until tender crisp.
Step 2: Saute onions in butter until opaque.
Step 3: Add cooked carrots to the onions with the 1/2 cup reserved water.
Step 4: Add apples to the mixture.
Step 5: Simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 6: Turn into serving dish.
Step 7: Add fresh pepper and lemon juice to taste.
Step 8: Place a slice of fresh lemon in the center as a garnish.
