Step 1: Cut cabbage up into bite size pieces.
Step 2: Par-boil for approximately 5 minutes, and drain well.
Step 3: Place cabbage in greased 9x13 casserole.
Step 4: Set aside.
Step 5: Melt butter in large saucepan.
Step 6: Stir in flour.
Step 7: Season to taste and allow to cook 3 minutes over medium heat while stirring constantly.
Step 8: Stir in half 'n half making a thick white sauce.
Step 9: Make your white sauce as thick as you prefer. The thinner the sauce, the more "soupy" the dish will be.
Step 10: Cut up Velveeta cheese and stir in to melt.
Step 11: Season cabbage with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 12: Pour cheese sauce over cabbage and bake covered with foil in 350º oven approximately 45 minutes till bubbly and cabbage is tender.
Step 13: Use saltines or Ritz style crackers accordingly to your tastes.
Step 14: Sprinkle over the top and bake an additional 10 minutes uncovered
