Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
  • 10 ounces cream of celery soup (1 can)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 8 ounces American cheese, shredded (1 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • Topping
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Shred cabbage and boil for 7 minutes, drain well.

  • Step 3: Mix together soup, milk and cheese, salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 4: When cabbage is well drained, mix with soup mixture.

  • Step 5: Put cabbage mixture on the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13 casserole

  • Step 6: Top with melted butter and bread crumbs mixed together.

  • Step 7: Bake for 15 minutes (Darlene cooked 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.)
