Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 ounces Patrón silver tequila
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 ounce za’atar simple syrup
  • Za'atar Simple Syrup:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons za'atar

How to Make

  • Za'atar Simple Syrup:

  • Step 1: Add the sugar and water to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

  • Step 2: Add the za’atar while the syrup is hot. Let steep for at least 3 hours. Strain out the solids and discard. The syrup will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 month.

  • Cocktail:

  • Step 3: Place the tequila, grapefruit juice and za’atar simple syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

  • Step 4: Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.

  • Step 5: Garnish with a lime wheel.
