  • 1 tablespoon basil leaves, torn
  • 1 pound capellini pasta, dry
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente, drain saving 1/2 cup water.

  • Step 2: In another skillet heat oil, add garlic and cook a minute.

  • Step 3: Add salt and tomatoes, simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add pasta water and pasta and cook until tight.

  • Step 5: Add basil and toss.

  • Step 6: Season to taste.
