Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 teaspoon ancho chile powder, dried
  • 1 teaspoon guajillo chile powder, dried
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup blue crab meat
  • 1/3 cup Spanish octopus, chopped, cooked
  • 1/3 cup shrimp, boiled, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped
  • 1/4 cup jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 dozen oysters on the half shell

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat a grill for high heat.

  • Step 2: Mix the ancho and guajillo chiles, garlic powder and salt in a bowl and set aside. Combine the cheese, onion, crab, octopus, shrimp, cilantro and jalapeno in a bowl, then add the seasoning mix. Top the oysters with the stuffing.

  • Step 3: Place the oysters on the grill and cook, covered, until cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes.
