  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Dry
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Grease and flour a 9 X 5" loaf pan.

  • Step 3: Beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time.

  • Step 4: Mix the (dry ingredients) with a whisk, the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cardamon and zest together and add to the wet ingredients.

  • Step 5: Pour the batter in the prepared bread pan then bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes until toothpicks come out clean.

  • Step 6: Let rest 5 minutes.
