  • 6 ounces apricot halves, drained, chopped (1 can)
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Dressing
  • 6 ounces red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds

How to Make

  • Step 1: Whisk dressing together. You may need less vinegar and a little oil. This was when they didn't use oil.

  • Step 2: Add romaine lettuce, mushrooms and apricot to bowl.

  • Step 3: Season lightly.

  • Step 4: Meanwhile, heat bacon and cook until crisp and remove.

  • Step 5: Add almonds.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle bacon and almonds over salad.

  • Step 7: Add dressing to taste.

  • Step 8: Season to taste.
