  • 1 bay leaf
  • Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups water, boiling
  • 6 ounces tomato paste (1 can)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: Pam spray 9x13 casserole.

  • Step 3: Place ham steak in.

  • Step 4: Surround ham with veggies.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle rice overtop.

  • Step 6: Mix the sauce until tomato paste is dissolved and everything else is mixed together.

  • Step 7: Pour over the casserole

  • Step 8: Add bay leaf.

  • Step 9: Cover with tinfoil tightly, bake for 60 minutes covered.

  • Step 10: Uncover and bake 5 minutes more make sure everything is tender and rice is cooked.
