Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4-6 plums (your favorite or santa rosa, black friar or a mixture of the plum you have on hand)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted
  • 1/4 cup organic sugar or 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom, ground
  • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or 1 teaspoon orange flower water
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Rinse plums and then slice them into wedges about 3/4 inch thick or so.

  • Step 2: Over medium high heat heat a skillet and then add the butter. When the butter melts add the plums, sugar and cardamom. Increase heat and cook, shaking the fruit in the pan every 30 seconds or so until it colors (caramelizes).

  • Step 3: After about 5 minutes the plums will start giving up their juices. Continue cooking on high heat or until the juice just coats the fruit. Remove from heat and add the Grand Marnier (or orange flower water) and then place in a serving bowl, scraping in all the liquid from the pan.

  • Step 4: Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
