Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tomatoes, diced into 1/2 inch pieces (you should have 2 cups)
  • 1 seedless cucumber, diced into 1/2 inch pieces (2 cups)
  • Sea salt
  • 1 red onion, chopped into 1/4 inch pieces (1 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: To prepare the salad: place the chopped tomatoes and cucumbers in a colander. Sprinkle with sea salt and allow to drain.

  • Step 2: In a bowl combine the red onion, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt and sugar and allow to sit for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3: Just before serving in a large bowl combine the tomatoes and cucumbers with the onion mixture. Add the chaat masala and the cilantro and toss. Serve immediately garnished with extra cilantro and chaat masala if desired.
