Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 10 oranges
  • 1 1/2 cups white wine
  • 10 ounces preserved ginger in syrup, undrained (1 jar)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 1/4 cup candied ginger, diced
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: With a vegetable peeler remove peel (colored part only) from 2 oranges and then cut the peel into the thinnest possible slices and then wrap the peel in foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate. Peel the rest of the oranges, removing the white membrane and then slice the oranges thinly and place the orange slices in a bowl.

  • Step 2: In a food processor combine the wine and the next 3 ingredients (-preserved ginger with syrup) and process using on/off turns. Pour mixture over the orange slices; toss; cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or up to 24 hours).

  • Step 3: Just before serving baste the orange slices with the wine mixture and sprinkle with the slices orange peel and the candied ginger.
