Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente; drain saving 1/2 cup water.
Step 2: Sauce: Heat oil and add garlic.
Step 3: Season lightly.
Step 4: Cook just until fragrant.
Step 5: Add red pepper flakes, pepper, cooked and drained spaghetti and pasta water and cook until tight.
Step 6: Season to taste I like a lot of pepper, you do you.
Step 7: Toss with fresh parsley.
