Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 ounces parmesan cheese, grated (2/3 cup)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs, dry
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Sauce
  • 28 ounces whole tomatoes, whole, crushed by hand (1 can)
  • 1/3 cup Heinz steak sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large bowl, combine beef, cheese, bread crumbs, milk and egg and season to taste.

  • Step 2: Mix well and form into about 20 balls.

  • Step 3: Brown in a large pan with oil.

  • Step 4: Cook and drain excess fat.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle flour over meatballs stirring gently to coat.

  • Step 6: On medium heat combine tomatoes, 57 sauce (can use 1/2 cup, most did) sugar if you want and salt to taste.

  • Step 7: Cook uncovered for 25 minutes or until sauce is desired thickness.

  • Step 8: Serve meatballs and sauce over cooked buttered egg noodles.
